Movie review
My Sister's Keeper
(OKAY)
The film My Sister's Keeper is based on the work of Jodi Picoult, which tells us the life of an American family, with an 11-year-old girl conceived to try to save the life of her older sister and who seeks emancipation.
The film is okay, taking into account that adapting a book to the screen is a bit risky due to the different points of view that literature critics and history fans have. The film shows us a slow story at the beginning that we can get to know as the plot progresses. The point of view of each of the characters, and the differences that exist in the book and the movie, which only connoisseurs of the original story will know how to identify from beginning to end.
In the end, although the film tries to maintain the essence of the book throughout the story, and guarantee us a family drama with a great reflection at the end of the film. For all those who have enjoyed the book, they will know that there are aspects that could give it a great social impact. To the film by dealing with legal issues, family crises and juvenile delinquency.
