Week 9

This week we continue with Comparison and contrast in the essays, now I will show you a new way of doing an essay dividing the advantages and disadvantages.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of traveling alone or with parents?

Many times when we travel we do it accompanied by parents, friends, partners. But doing it alone can also be most enjoyable. Contrary to what many may think, traveling alone does not have to be boring. So you have to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of traveling alone or with parents.

The advantages that we can take into account when traveling alone is that you have the freedom to make new plans, to move without giving explanations to anyone. Traveling alone allows you to do everything you want, in addition to overcoming your fears and insecurities and showing yourself that you can achieve everything you set your mind to. However when traveling with parents you have the opportunity to make new memories, spend time with the family and more if you hardly ever do anything as a family to work or study all the time, it is a good opportunity to strengthen the family relationship.

Although there are the disadvantages of traveling alone for example, it can be more expensive when you travel alone because you cannot split the expenses with anyone and you are responsible for paying for the accommodation and everything you consume. Nor will there be anyone to take care of your belongings when you want to go swimming or do another activity. In the same way, there are disadvantages when you travel with the parents, such as doing the activities they choose, even not having much privacy for you, you do not do what you would like and you must accept everything they decide to do.

Although traveling alone is a great experience too, we can enjoy ourselves as a family and get to know each other better. But we must take into account the advantages and disadvantages that exist, and thus make the best choice and be able to enjoy a good trip without complications.
